On behalf of the organizing committee, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Transportation Research Board, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 8th International Conference on Managing Pavement Assets. The conference will be hosted in the Extension Centre of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Crowne Plaza Hotel on November 15-19, 2011 in the city of Santiago, Chile.

Abstracts should be submitted through the following link, no later than September 30th, considering the following specifications :

Language: English. Additionally a Spanish version of the abstract may also be submitted

Maximum extent of 250 words

Present expected results, in maximum 50 additional words

Present the progress of the study by the date when the abstract is being submitted

Building on prior successful conferences held in Canada, United States of America, South Africa, and Australia, seven themes have been selected to reflect recent developments and needs in the pavement and transportation asset management area. Abstracts must be related to one of these themes:

T01 - Performance Based Private Public Partnership (PPP) Projects

T02 - Sustainable Design, Construction and Operation of Pavement Assets

T03 - Tools to Improve the Decision Process

T04 - Preservation and Maintenance of Pavement Assets

T05 - Management Practices and Applications

T06 - Pavement Performance Modeling, Key Performance Indicators and Implementation Targets

T07 - Special Requirements/Situations (Local Roads, Airfields, Cold Regions, Urban Pavements, Rural Roads, etc.)
